The PU MET exam consists mostly of objective-type questions, such as multiple-choice questions (MCQs), and there may not be subjective questions included in the exam. The exam pattern typically includes sections with objective-type questions.

Each question carries one mark, and there are 200 questions spread across the six sections of the PU MET question paper. The medium of the PU MET question paper is English.
