Does Sacred Heart University gives scholarship for international students?

<p dir="ltr">Sacred Heart University offers scholarships based on merit to international students. Scholarships are also offered based on life programs or activities in which students participate. Activity-based scholarship awards depend on the kind of participation and activity in which students engage. International undergraduates are eligible for scholarships given on the basis of the following programs:</p><ul><li dir="ltr" aria-level="1"><p dir="ltr" role="presentation">University Choir</p></li><li dir="ltr" aria-level="1"><p dir="ltr" role="presentation">Intercollegiate Athletics</p></li><li dir="ltr" aria-level="1"><p dir="ltr" role="presentation">University Dance</p></li><li dir="ltr" aria-level="1"><p dir="ltr" role="presentation">Community Service</p></li><li dir="ltr" aria-level="1"><p dir="ltr" role="presentation">Student Leadership</p></li><li dir="ltr" aria-level="1"><p dir="ltr" role="presentation">Christian Leadership</p></li><li dir="ltr" aria-level="1"><p dir="ltr" role="presentation">Resident Assistants</p></li><li dir="ltr" aria-level="1"><p dir="ltr" role="presentation">Pioneer Bands</p></li><li dir="ltr" aria-level="1"><p dir="ltr" role="presentation">Theatre Arts</p></li><li dir="ltr" aria-level="1"><p dir="ltr" role="presentation">Classroom Learning Assistants</p></li></ul><p dir="ltr">Merit-based scholarships are evaluated on the basis of the application submitted by students. Therefore, they do not have to submit another independent application to secure these scholarships. The GPA and course selection are evaluated along with high school rankings while awarding merit-based scholarships ranging from<strong> USD 8,500 to USD 17,500. </strong>Students need not maintain their GPAs for the renewal of these scholarships every year. The scholarships are awarded on a first-come-first-served basis.</p><p dir="ltr"><strong>Graduate Scholarships</strong></p><p dir="ltr">International graduate students can try to secure scholarships from external sources. For example, the Federal Tech Grant is awarded to those graduates who have enrolled in courses that will make them eligible to be secondary or elementary teachers. However, these students must accept an agreement stating they will work in a secondary or elementary school located in an area where there is a shortage of teachers. These schools must be dedicated to children who belong to poor families. Students who are unable to fulfill this obligation will need to repay the awarded scholarship as an unsubsidized loan along with interest. An amount of up to <strong>USD 4,000</strong> is provided every year to students who get this grant.
