Does Siliguri Institute of Technology provide 100% placements for B.Tech IT?

<p>While SIT offers good placement among the companies which recruit B.Tech IT learners, it does not ensure the application of 100% placement. As per to the information available on the website, B.Tech IT placement percentage is nearly 90-95%. Top recruiters include: <br><br>- TCS <br>- Infosys <br>- Wipro <br>- Cognizant <br>- IBM <br>- Capgemini <br>- and others <br><br>It must also be noted that though the college has a placement cell where training is also given there is no guarantee that students will get placed immediately after their courses and the opportunities depend on student&rsquo;s performance, market trends, etc. Still, SIT has a good track record in terms of placements and most of the students get proximately placed in good organizations.</p>

<p>Students enrolled in BTech IT programs at Siliguri Institute of Technology (SIT) can boast superior regional placement rates than those attained in other technical schools; but there is still no guarantee that every student graduating will find a job. Nonetheless, around 90% -95% placements are observed for these courses offered at the aforementioned institution. TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant and IBM are among some reputable enterprises that visit regularly with decent pay offers for talented youths. The SIT placement cell puts its best foot forward all day to ensure that all students avail themselves of enough opportunities. In as much as some students may not be placed because of their decisions such as remaining single without seeking an opportunity for marriage or pursuing their education further or having personal demands on the type of job they want to do; majority of them do get this kind of a decent job. SIT maintains good ties with industries while emphasizing skill acquisition as one main factor behind its good record in this regard. To reach the level of 100% job placement, SIT could think about giving further assistance in the form of internships, training sessions or start-up incubation facilities. However, students must be aware that they need to work hard and utilize all the available resources so as to improve their chances of getting employed.</p>
