SMU expects a band score of a minimum of 6.5 in IELTS. Along with IELTS, students must submit PTE, TOEFL, and Duolingo scores to prove their proficiency in the English language. Scoring good marks in English proficiency scores can benefit students coming from other countries to gain admission to any US university. The minimum English language requirements for students, coming from non-English speaking backgrounds are given below:
