Does SRCC prefer commerce students over non-commerce students for B.A. (Hons.) in Economics?

No, it's not like that. All you have to do is clear the cutoffs with the subjects mentioned in list A which is given in the SRCC website. If your subjects are not in that list a deduction of 2.5% per subject would be applicable while calculating the best 4. If you clear the cutoffs even then, you are as eligible as a commerce student.
