There are various categories of scholarships and financial assistance programs as illustrated below;</p><p>Merit Based Scholarships: Academic performance in previous examinations by students tends to attract some partial scholarships or tuition fee waivers.</p><p>Government Scholarships: Based on ethnic and economic status of students, the Karnataka state government and/or central government offer certain scholarships e.g.- Economically Weaker Section (EWS) students, SC, ST, OBC and minorities. Certain schemes provide for part or full waivers on tuition fees whereas other may not.</p><p>Disability Scholarships: For the students who are disabled, it's likely that they shall access government support or such assistance.</p><p>Merit-Cum-Means Scholarships: Some private scholarships are available for a certain percentage of the fees that are intended both for academic acheivers and those in need of financial assistance.</p><p>Management/Institutional Scholarships: It is not uncommon that a few institutions especially Colleges may offer internal scholarships or waivers for certain students who meet set criteria such as a certain grade point average, leadership, or active participation in the institution.</p><p>For accurate and up to date since this may change information regarding 100% scholarship at STJIT, it is recommended to get in touch with the scholarship/financial aid office as they hold the latest information on eligibility, how to go about application and the amounts of available scholarships.</p>
