The School of Visual Arts has a New York Campus. The School of Visual Arts is a private, for-profit art school with more than 3,000 undergraduate students enrolled at its New York campus. Burne Hogarth and Silas H. Rhodes founded the campus, which is located on East 23rd Street in New York, in 1947. It started with three faculty members and thirty-five students, but now it has more than 1,100 faculty members and more than 3,000 students. The university is accredited by prestigious bodies and provides 22 graduate and 11 undergraduate degree programs.
