    Different companies have different criteria for shortlisting candidates. Some companies give extra weightage to your academic record while some prefer to look at the overall profile of the candidate. You can always cover up on your academic scores by performing well in the future and also with the help of other extra activities like certifications, competitions, extra-curricular activities, etc.

    It depends on the admission process followed by the institute. If there GD/PI process it can have significance but if it is through DTE then it won't have weightage. The admission and selection process is still being finalized. Please check the website for updates.
