No college can guarantee 100% placement it all depends on his/her abilities, skills, caliber & depends on candidate to candidate performance.Well, as far as HBS is concerned,yes there is assurance of good placement may not be 100% but yes jobs are guaranteed depending on performance.

So what all one need to look before getting into a college is what was the average package and what companies visited for placements because this is what all matters that what sort of companies visit because getting placed is upto one's own credentials but calling up companies is college's responsibility

Every private college except some will attract you with bold lines 100% placement. But the truth is the opposite. I am not saying that they do not provide placements but the return of investment is low. So it is better that you choose your college wisely so that you can gain knowledge and a deserving job after you get your degree. -

8 years ago100% placement does not make any sense without job stability or if you are in 'bulk hire and fire profile'. So check after placement job stability of alumni on LinkedIn, also check average in hand salary( don't rush behind the CTC annual package which is not in hand). -
I don't think any college can guarantee 100 percent placement to students as getting a job also depends on a student's performance in various domains.
