Yes, LPU does take lateral entry into elite Automobile programme. The eligibility criteria for lateral entry is pass with 60% aggregate marks in Diploma (engineering. ). (any stream) 3 years after 10th or 2 years. After 10+2 (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Computer Science) or equivalent. Some Salient Features of the programme are:

Dear Gaya, In LPU, they offer lateral entry in B.Tech for Automobile Engineering but not in the Diploma programme. My friend did a Diploma (Lateral) in mechanical engineering after 12th class from LPU then he did B.Tech in Automobile engineering through lateral entry at LPU.
