    International applicants are given the University at Albany Global Excellence Scholarships based on their academic performance as well as additional requirements chosen by the admissions committee.

    For first-year (freshmen) applicants, the highest scholarship offer is $17,500 per year, with a possible four-year total of $70,000. These scholarships are re-awardable as long as the recipient maintains an overall GPA of 2.5 or better and continues to attend University at Albany full-time while paying out-of-state tuition.
