The University of Western Australia holds a community of more than 150,000 alumni. Some of the well-known alumni of UWA include Joshua Yong, an Australian Olympic Swimmer. He pursued Engineering at UWA. Mathew Palvich is another athlete who graduated from the University of Western Australia and is a former professional Australian football player.
