Does VIT Vellore offer scholarship to its students?

Scholarships at VIT Vellore are mainly offered based on merit. However, economically backward students are provided with need-based scholarships. There are mainly two types of scholarships offered at VIT Vellore scholarships under the STARS program and GVSDP scholarships. Under the Give School Development Programme (GVSDP), toppers of state or central boards along with VITEEE rank holders are given tuition fee waivers of 100% for up to four years. Under the scholarship program STARS (Support the Advancement of Rural Students), the top 10 students from rural government schools, who are eligible for admission and have a family income of INR 1.5 LPA will get a 100 percent fee waiver for their academic and hostel facilities, including basic medical expenses. Eligible students with meritorious records in state or central board examinations or VITEEE rank holders will be required to present a marksheet or copy of a marksheet or VITEEE scorecard along with all the other relevant documents while applying.
