    Work experience helps you get extra points in the process and in general you get better value out of your classroom learning.

    Hey,
    No it doest not. there are a lot of freshers in the IIMs as well. Having said that, you have to realise that there has to be something in your profile that stands out for you in this regard. The only possible disadvantage might be that seasoned people might be more apt at adapting and understanding the business processes better but then there is nothing that cannot be overcome by consistent hard work.
