    Yes, the person who has work experience always has an upper hand in the placements rather than freshers and the salary offered to the experienced candidates is more as compared to freshers. But if you are a fresher and presenting yourself in an attractive manner then you can also get a good job.

    Yes, work experience plays a vital role while you are sitting for placement after completing MBA/PGDM. There are some companies which only hire students with prior work experience only so work experience does matter. Apart from placement, work experience also helps to understand MBA curriculum better because someone with work experience is familiar with the working of the companies (work environment). So, work experience adds more weight to your resume and helps you to stand out of the crowd.
    I hope you will find this useful.

    Every company requires a skilled and experienced employee. Internships, project, skills, any past experience all counts while applying for a job. Every company wants an employee who already has an experience of working in an organisation and skills make individual different and compatible from others to work on a job. Individuals having experience have a preference of selection.

    Yes, experience matters when you sit for placements, the company would hire experience candidates as compared to freshers as a fresher has to be trained and an experienced candidate can do the same work as they have performed it before.

    Hello,
    Work experience and the validation of your knowledge always go simultaneously. But, preference is given to the person with more experience as we say, the more knowledge of the job you have, the more efficiently you will work. Rest, I will suggest you to gain some work experience by the time you complete you MBA/PGDM.

    Yes, having work experience gives you an additional edge over others. The reason for this is because work experience makes you familiar with organizational behavior, the importance of mailing, the importance of time and punctuality, familiarity with work culture, how to work efficiently and effectively.
    Experience do matter but it is not mandatory. If you are engaged in college and co-curricular and extracurricular activities, then these will also add value while interviewing. Also, you can try to do internships if possible.

    Hi,
    While having some quality work experience can certainly help you in your MBA placements as well as MBA academic studies, there is no such hard and fast rule that prior work experience is a must;
    Also, what particular industry, company and role you have worked in and what are some of your significant contributions as well as achievements play a key role. Apart from this, having a year or two of quality work experience will help your overall personality and candidature by making you more professional, self-disciplined, mature and giving you a good understanding of your own strengths and weaknesses at a work place.

    Whenever a company comes for recruitment, it is up to the top management and human resource Department to plan a framework of recruitment of students on various aspects, which include work experience, past academic record, group discussion and personal interview.
    During placements, mostly work experience students does have some impact.
    But, that doesn't mean that recruiters are biased towards work experience people.
    Placement of students is totally about their skill sets, and evaluation of weak points.
    But, a fresher can give tough competition to experienced students by doing the right things for their career.
