    Don't think about salary. go with animation! as it has various sectors in it. in this field no field yeilds you greater salary. take the subject of your intrest and work on it. work in a renewed company for few months. gather experience and then do some sideline courses. in which you are certified. after that your resume is a hot cake. Experience is the main criteria. wishing you all the the best.

    Opportunities lie in animation design, game design, graphics, storyboarding, 3d modelling, texturing and lighting, Dynamics and VFX and of course animation. However, choosing between these must be done after seeing your performance in each of these. Typically you should have good sketching skills to be able to make a sound career in this.     Animation calls for a wide bouquet of skills from traditional art skills to articulation skills, storytelling to aesthetic appreciation, and creativity to technical prowess.
    Before going for any super specialization, do learn all the relevant Skills of Animation right from pre to post production,. Mostly creative aspirants enters Animation for their Passion. Once you have the complete knowledge of pipeline then start working in some company.     Hi,
    There are many options in the field. You must choose the one which matches your interest. As far as the scope and salary is concerned, it depends on you. If you have interest in the field then you may get promoted and enjoy the benefits of getting promoted with increased salary.
    Generally, to give you a brief idea,
    * Junior animator or trainee : earn between Rs.10000 - 15000 per month.
    * With three to five years experience : earn between Rs. 25000 to 40000.
    * Well-experienced animator with good portfolio : earn between Rs. 50000 - 60000 per month.

    Thank u Manmeet Kaur50173 to invite me to answer this question, i have read all the above answer ans i found it suitably good i just want to add on point in it "DON'T PURSUE THE STREAM IN WHICH YOU FEEL YOU CAN MAKE MONEY PURSUE THE STREAM WHICH INTERESTS YOU THE MOST BECAUSE THAT WILL GIVE YOU MONEY AND SATISFACTION BOTH".
    I have been in this sector for long and i have seen people earning good even in 2d and sometime who has done 3d doesn't earn much so the point is opportunities are there in all the stream let see where your creativity takes you.
