Recently a friend of mine commented that a good teacher shall not show his 'back' while writing on the black board. How is it possible? Any idea ? Of course I know its possible if teachers use other visual media such as projectors and power point presentations.

Make eye contact: While teaching the students, try to build up eye contact with them as it makes easy for the teacher to know about the student's reactions, their interest towards the topic and whether they are attentive in the class. Ask some question after certain interval of time as this will mak

Understand how much student knows about lesson: Before starting any lesson, just make sure that how much a student know about the lesson in general. This can be done by putting up the questions related to the topic so that you can have knowledge about how much your pupils know related to the topic.

Talking from personal experience, the teacher of my daughter (in first class at present) does not even get time to see if the answers are written correctly or not. She taught the concept of 'a' and 'an' and my daughter wrote am in front of every word. But she checked it all right.

Very true statement. One roof teaching lacks many points and what you've mentioned is called and INTERACTIVE teaching. Unless and until you won't ask the students for the output, you won't get it. Offering hurdles actually measures the learning capacity of the student.
