If you are planning to study towards a Bachelor's degree, my advice is that it is a complete waste of money as India has many good engineering colleges. If you are planning to study towards a Master's degree, I will suggest the following universities. 1. Cranfield University 2. Imperian College 3. University College London 4. University of Manchester 5. University of Nottingham 6. University of Bristol 7. University of Durham 8. University of Liverpool 9.Oxford 10. Cambridge The fees could rage from 12000 upto 19000 depending on the university. Allocate 600 per month for living expenses. Plus 65 per month for travellling expenses in all cities except London. London is one of the most expensive cities in the world (allocate 1000 per month atleast on the safer side). Give me a thumbs up if I had answered your question.

Hi Ayush, Engineering in UK uses advanced technologies and it is a good choice if you wish to gain good knowledge and return back to your home country. If your aim to work then its a strict no unless you are confident enough to find a job for yourself before completing the course. Secondly, as suggested by Mahesh, it is an extremely expensive affair and not advisable to go ahead unless you have plenty of throw away money. Application Procedure : In the UK, UG engineering programs are of 3 years in duration. Courses commence in September and one can not apply directly to the Universities(most of them). You need to apply through UCAS and the last date is 30 June. You have the provision of applying to 5 Universities and UCAS charges GBP 21 for it. There is a small intake in Jan, for which you don't have to go through UCAS and you can apply directly. At least 50% in 12 to get into the bottom ranked university or college. Or if you take the foundation route then you will have to study for an extra year and for that the course will commence in Jan and the main course in sep. IELTS minimum of 6.0 is expected. You need to fill the application online (www.ucas.com) and upload the documents also before submitting the application. Tuition fee : 14 lacs per annum approx including living expenses. It can go beyond this depending on which univ you choose and where you stay.
