The first time you are appearing for an examination in any subject in any class will be your first attempt. If you get through the examination in your first attempt, you will not have to register and appear for the examination in the subject again, but if you fail in your first attempt, you can have subsequent attempts tll you pass the subject

First attempt means someone who is not giving re-exam of 12th class.
