For B.Tech CS which is better VIT, Vellore or Thapar University?

I'll prefer you to opt for the VIT as this college is far better than the Thapar University as VIT is one of the top private college of India and also this college is better than Thapar in every respect whether it is placements, faculty or infrastructure.

VIT University is better than Thapar University in every perspective such as placement, studies and location. So, I would prefer VIT.

VIT Vellore campus would be a right choice, because you experience good faculty high exposure and good placements.

VIT Vellore Vs Thapar Patiala. This is a question many people face and take different decisions. I personally faced the dilemma of Thapar vs VIT. I analyzed the positives and negatives of both and then took a decision. I can share my findings with you. VIT is famous on a national level, while those in South India are not much aware of the existence of Thapar. This means that VIT will have a higher amount of exposure to offer you. Thapar University has no management quota seats, while VIT has. Even if someone denies the fact, the truth does not change. This means that the level of students in Thapar will be at least above some line, while any can get into VIT with money. Thapar has a 50% Punjab State quota, and hence locals will be more there, than in VIT. These are the major points you should consider. Placements of both the colleges seem to be at par on the primer face. Obviously, I am not a student of both, no one can be. So it will be unfair if I provide real statistics of one of the two. Anonymous because I know someone is sitting there, trying to judge my neutral answer. One thing I would like to point out, the MHRD rankings are not a reliable source of judgement, which is clear from the fact that VIT got a rank higher than BITS.
