For B.Tech in agricultural engineering LPU is a better option or PAU (Punjab agricultural university) in terms of placements?

Hi It would be a good choice to opt for LPU as in the present scenario this is the university which caters to the all-round development of its students and nurtures it with care to boost the career to a pinnacle of ultimate success which might be the envy of many. LPU is the only private university which has been accredited by ICAR. It has set certain standards and for this FEAT it has received many accolades. The experienced faculty along with the high standards maintained for the grooming of students has made it a hub of academic excellence. The sprawling infra structure aids the practical knowledge needed for this field and well-equipped labs have been provided to propel the career of students to a zenith. LPU understands the importance of uninterrupted education and so offers scholarships for the sectors, on the marks qualified, national level award, defense, sports, etc. It has also moved forward to aid education at such grim times by offering financial assistance in the form of covid scholarships. LPU has external research funding worth 1.8 Million INR In LPU hands on training, practical crop production, rural and agriculture work experience (RAWE), Nursery raising for horticulture crops, crop and SEED Identification, soil and water sampling and analysis, soil description and Interpretation, organic and chemical fertilizer, manure identification and application etc. Are carried out in the campus. The credit transfer options allow to pursue half degree from a university abroad and get the degree of the foreign university. Many students are aspiring higher studies in International Universities such as, Technical University of Munich, Germany, Leibniz Universitat Hannover, WAGENINGEN UNIVERSITY Netherland etc. Due to ICAR accreditation of LPU, large number of companies are visiting the campus. More than 44 renowned firms and industries are on board for on campus and off campus drive in 2018-19, around 90% of the students got placed, among the drive conducted the major associates were with Syngenta pvt. Lmt. , Tata Rallis India, Bioseed, Emami, GSR with maximum package offer of 5.68 Lacs. Hello Mitali, very good question but no easy answers. LPU has a very good name academically and reputation of this institution is also very high. Their placements cell is quite efficient. Based on these factors their order should be quite high up in the hierarchy. However, on the other hand, PAU is meant for agriculture related teaching. They have large amount of land holding on which they carry out experiments. This university too has very good reputation in not only Punjab but across India. So both look equal at first glance. However as the query is related to engineering and not primarily about agriculture sciences, I would advise you to go to LPU. Best wishes.

Exposure to the industry, efficient and knowledgeable faculty, flexible curriculum and teaching pedagogues, Placements, Scholarships, infrastructure, and diverse culture make LPU incomparable. It is one of the best programs in LPU having wonderful placements. Most of our students get placed in reputed companies with a few opting for higher studies and entrepreneurship. I would like to name a few companies that visit LPU- Nestle, VLCC Health Care, HDFC, Rallis India, SYNGENTA INDIA LTD, WIPRO LIMITED Special inputs in the form of placement classes are given to students to hone their skills and prepare them for placements. Students also go for on-job training (OJT) where they are paid stipend too. LPU has highly qualified faculty from Top agriculture institutes and universities from India and Abroad etc. While PAU has a heritage and log history as its strength, LPU has a fresh energy, massive resources be it in hardware or software of human which make it a strong competitor. If I talk about the specializations then PAU is specialized in that filed but the placements are good at LPU and you get more exposure in LPU. It's up to you which one you want to choose. All the best.

LPU doesn't provide B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering but it provides B.Sc. Agriculture. If you want to know about B.Sc. Agriculture then I can provide you with that.

In terms of Placement, Punjab Agricultural University is the best, otherwise in terms of study and exposure LPU is best.
