CBSE is the right choice for pursuing engineering in your further studies.

I think, both the boards are good, but most of the topics in the first year of engineering are from CBSE.

Definitely CBSE is better as it will offer you the required pattern Dynamics to Ace the engineering exam.

Frankly CBSE students have some advantage over ICSE particularly as far as mathematical calculations are concerned.In 10+2 ICSE students are allowed to carry a calculator while CBSE students are not.This enhances there speed of calculation.Further ICSE syllabus is little different from CBSE and the
