    Internships in a hospitality course are an important part of the curriculum like theory papers. The proof of this lies in the fact that these internships are often given considerable weightage in the final semester exams of hotel management courses. Most hotel management institutions make it mandatory for students to pursue a six-week internship which is mostly referred to as industrial training by them, as this is a part of the curriculum of such institutions.
