Hi MonalisaYou may study from books, although it is an assessment of your longtime skills and it is better to have an avid interest in Indian history/ culture/ archeology besides a good hand in sketching with reasonable Mathematics and logical ability. Some people prefer to take a coaching to improve their skills and speed.
Wish you the best for your career.
Remember, your Career is a resultant of your knowledge combined with your passion and expression ability.
