From where should I start preparing for CAT?

CAT exam have 3 parts 1st part to test your English proficiency, 2nd Data interpretation & 3rd part to test your mathematical skills. You can prepare on your own or join a reputed coaching centres or use corresponding course and take their online test series. My suggestion is to use coaching centres materials as I feel they must have compiled all the main topics required for CAT exam. For English part reading newspaper regularly will help a lot. Taking online test series help to improve your speed.

Basically, there are 3 sections in CAT exam - verbal ability, DILR, Quants.
Verbal ability-
Start reading newspaper daily to increase your reading speed and grasping power. Don't miss out the editorial page. Do proper analysis of articles on editorial page. Try to make summary of articles that you read para by para. However, reading newspaper won't be sufficient. Start solving RCs on a regular basis with proper analysis.
DILR-
