Full procedure for becoming chartered accountant after 12

Hi Amit, Procedure to pursue CA: -Common Proficiency Test (CPT) -Intermediate (Integrated Professional Competence) Examination -Final Exam The Common Proficiency Test (CPT) 2014 is conducted by the Council of the Institute Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). CPT consists of four subjects namely, Fundamentals of Accounting, Mercantile Laws, General Economics and Quantitative Aptitude. Eligibility: The registration begins after class 10th although exams can be given only after 10+2. Validity for CPT registration is 3 years, after which revalidation can be made. Paper pattern: It is a 200 marks exam. The paper consists of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). Negative marking will exist. 25% marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. CA CPT Exam is held twice a year – June & December. A student who has got himself registered for Common Proficiency Test on or before April 1st and October 1st for appearing in CPT examination which is held in June and December respectively every year. Enrol with the Institute for Common Proficiency Course (CPC) after passing class 10th examination conducted by an examining body constituted by law in India or an examination recognized by the Central Government as equivalent thereto. (i) Appear in CPT examination after appearing in the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 examination) conducted by an examining body constituted by law in India or an examination recognised by the Central Government as equivalent thereto and after completion of specified period (60 days) from the date of registration for CPC with the Board of Studies and first day of the month in which the examination is to be held, (ii)• Appear in Intermediate (IPC) Examination/ATE on completion of 8 months of study course as on first day of the month in which the examination is to be held• Join articled training after passing either Group I or Both Groups of Intermediate (IPC) Course. (iii) After passing Intermediate (IPC) Examination register for Final course with the Board of Studies,collect study material of the Final course and prepare for the Final examination. Pass final examination and complete GMCS II, if not completed earlier. (vii) Enrol as a member of the ICAI and be designate as “Chartered Accountant”. Found this useful? Hi. For CA admission is open through out the year. After 12th you are eligible for first level CPT. If you clear CPT then second level is IPCC. After IPCC you have to clear Final exam. Apart from these exams articleship training is mandatory. All the best !
