Kindly tell me, what is the process to take admission in an IIT after 12th?

Hi, A Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is held around April every year for admission to undergraduate course at seven Indian Institutes of Technology (Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur , Kharagpur , Madras , Roorkee ) , IT – BHU, Varanasi and Indian School of Mines University, Dhanbad. Only Students who secure first class (60% ) or equivalent in the plus two examination are eligible for admission to the IITs. The examination has two papers. Paper – 1 and Paper – 2 will each have three separate sections on Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics. Both the papers are objective types, designed to test comprehension, reasoning and analytical ability of candidates. Eligibility requirements for this examination and syllabus for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Aptitude Test is available on the websites of all IITs.
