What is the validity of M.Phil degree earned from Vinayaka Missions University through distance education?
VINAYAKA MISSION UNIVERSITY ,M.PHIL THROUGH DISTENCE LEARNING, IS THIS degree is vailed to get a job in degree colleges affilated to kanpur university in U.P. g.o. about the students who has completed there m.phil by distence education to get a job in degree colleges in INDIA,LUCKNOW
So far as i know any course offered through distance mode is valid if the institute is recognised by dec and ugc. Upto 2009. After 2009 JOINT Committee of DEC-UGC-AICTE came into existance. VMU M.PHIL was recognised for at that time vmu was approved by ugc and dec. The rule of individual program to be approved by dec was introduced prior to the offer of m.phil through distance mode. Acceptance of m.phil. Through distance for govt job and higher education varies from state to state university to university. Govts like tamilnadu, pondichery, assam, orissa andy many states, most of central ins/univs. accept m.phil. Through distance mode.

W.b. who is getting incliment for m.phil through distance. DEC has sent a letter to assam govt. in which DEC confirmed that all m.phil through DEC recognised ins were valid. I hope in future every govt, every univ would accept it. No univ. Can say a course is invalid except. UGC. Ugc and dec has never said m.phil through distance mode invalid. Don't give hid to rumour. Why ugc and dec is silent in this matter? What a game they are playing with lives of distance m.phil. Holders. ignou accepts distance mode m.phil. for ph.d. Don't get worried. I have recently received my m.phil. Degree from vmu. Covocation of vmu is generally held in july and degree is generally sent in sept to oct .if you have applied, vmu would certainly send your degree. Cotact dde or study cent to know the status of your degree. be patient. VMU will certainly send your degree as it has sent to me. Don't give hid to rumour. Have faith in vmu. Smile please.
