What is SAP? What are the modules and benefits?

am doing Btech IT n by may 2009 i vl pass out n i wish to pursue higher studies further(Mtech) but many of my friends suggested me to do SAP .am not aware of SAP and its scope .plz suggest me which one is better n scope of SAP.

    Hi, yes indeed, SAP does have very good career prospects.  SAP is basically an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) platform, which has very high penetration in the Indian market, with large existing and potential client base.  Roles therefore exist in new software development and technical support to existing platforms.  Within SAP, there are various modules that you can choose to specialise in.  These include FI Financial Accounting, CO Controlling (cost management), AM Asset Management , PS Project Systems, HR Human Resources, PM Plant Maintenance, MM Materials Management, Requisitions, QM Quality Management , PP P
