Which is the best book to prepare for engineering entrance exam ?

Hi, The NCERT textbooks and syllabus form the basis of the engineering entrance exams and are thus useful in preparation though they alone are not enough for preparing for competitive exams. Solving questions is the best way to prepare for entrance exams. NCERT books have to be read thoroughly and each question of the books has to be solved. Developing an aptitude for problem solving and building speed is the key to doing well in entrance exams. Any good coaching institute instills this skill in the students from the very beginning. Start solving easy questions and move on to the tougher level gradually; this helps you prepare for both types of exams.

hi, to start with the extent to which ncert textbooks are helpful depends on which entrance u r giving: 1.if u r preparing 4 maharastra cet den u have to realise dat ncert textbooks arent of much help,as d questions are more related to the maharashtra syllabus; however d book can be of great help to understand the concept but it wont help u to score in cet. in cet u should have a state of mind to quickly switch ur mind to diffrent lessons as each question u answer wil b from a different lesson;more over answer within the stipulated time is again a major concern;so u need a gr8 deal of practice 4 d same 2.but if u r appearing 4 aieee or such national level entrances den ur ncert can be definitely of gr8 help ALL D BEST!!!
