Which has better scope - Computer Science or Electronics ?

Hi, both fields have great scope as far as career and job opportunities are concerned. Out of the two we would say your preference should be Electronics& Communication and then CSE. An Electronics and Communication professional can work in Computer Science and IT category also but vice versa is not possible. In the case of electronics and communication engineering, the focus is on understanding electronic networks and devices, electromagnetic field theory, computer fundamentals, as also their protection, and communication and control systems. Telecommunications engineering focuses on the transmission of information across a channel such as a coax cable, optical fiber or free space. An E&C person can work in any sector: IT, Communication, telecommunication, Embedded system, chip design etc. A computer Science and engineering graduate also does almost similar papers except hardware computer design. Computer science (CS) spans the range from theory through programming to cutting-edge development of computing solutions. Computer science offers a foundation that permits graduates to adapt to new technologies and new ideas. The work of computer scientists falls into three categories: a) designing and building software; b) developing effective ways to solve computing problems, such as storing information in databases, sending data over networks or providing new approaches to security problems; and c) devising new and better ways of using computers and addressing particular challenges in areas such as robotics, computer vision, or digital forensics. Job opportunities are good in both Computer science as well as electronics and communication engineering.
