Dear Sudip, I'd appreciate the blunt reply given by Ashwani Ji and would suggest you to go for a regular course. Please understand it that why do we call it a course. It's a course of learning because of which we call it a course. Distance education may help you to get qualification but to be "eligible" for the competition in the market, one needs to have an in-depth knowledge of concepts. Distance Education is a useful tool but only there where you need promotions or better opportunities while you're already working. In simple words, go for a regular course or a part time course can also be chosen.
Good Luck. -

Hi, all said and done, part time MBA is not seen in the same light as full time, but a good college/brand name will suffice for that. And the reality is that its almost impossible to shift career 180 degrees using your part time degree. If you have substantial work experience [more than 6 years] which you have in the industry and if you plan to stick to the same industry, then it ios worthwhile. As far as career is concerned, options are available in offshore oil and gas companies, shipyards and offshore structure fabrication yards in India and abroad, consultancy companies like Engineers India Ltd, Scott-Wilson, L&T Rambol, etc....more
