Hi, you may pursue your Ph.D since you have an M.Phil in English. A few of the universities in India offering Phd in English through distance education or correspondence are:IGNOU www.ignou.ac.inV.M. Open University, Kota http://www.vmou.ac.in/PHD.asp Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages (CIEFL); Osmania University http://www.osmania.ac.in/Karnataka State Open University http://www.ksoumysore.com/You may check the respective websites of the universities for more information on the course details and eligibility criteria. However if you need further guidance or help you could revert. All the best.
