Is online phd degree valid in india to join as a professor in any management college? Because UGC stopped distance mphil,phd courses by indian universities.I want to know will it accept other online university degree?

Hi, Online degrees are not very popular and hence not yet widely accepted in Indian Universities. The degree you acquire to be eligible for lectureship has to be from a UGC recognized university which is not the case for online PhD degrees. University Grants Commission conducts the NET examination for granting the eligibility of the lecturers for Indian Universities. According to UGC any university which is getting grants from the Government and has got affiliation to UGC or AICTE must appoint only those candidates as lecturers who have passed in the NET examination in the subject in which they want to become lecturer.
