Hi, operations management and supply chain management are similar fields. Operations management is a wider field and involves a variety of functions like Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management, Facilities Management, Logistics Management, Quality Assurance etc. Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management involves monitoring and improving efficiency in production, managing purchase, inventory, materials, production, implementation of ERP packages etc. Facilities Management includes managing the real estate, its location, layout, equipment and general maintenance. these both course are totally different fields,Supply chain management is totally international business, whereas operations management is within the organization.

The two courses are different but are interconnected as well. Supply chain has derived from Operation Management. Operation Management is a much broader concept to work under, of which supply chain is an individual department.
