Hi, the required CEO qualifications depend on the situation. Also, there is fashion to consider. A wide range of personality types can make it to the top, so long as there is a match between your personality and that of your target organization. Aspiring CEOs need to compete with their peers on an intellectual level. You may not require distinguished knowledge of the subject to run even the most knowledge intensive companies but you need to be at least as smart as competing CEO candidates. Otherwise you won’t impress your prospective supporters as really knowing what you are talking about. The qualification of CEO is dependent upon the flavour of the company’s job. This means that what sort of activities they are having and what type of services they are providing. He or she should be at least graduated from a well reputed institution or must have extreme knowledge and experience of at least 10 to 15 years in the respective field. The CEO can either himself be the owner of the company or the company's owner can hire a good talented and well educated person who is committed to prove himself and have extreme quality of leadership. It is depend on organosational structure but you should be MBA from reported university like IIM-A, etc.witl relevent field experience.
