What are the career prospects after completing BCA through distance education?
Dear sir, my name is Eisak G.F.I am doing BCA in distance education in Bharathiar University in combatore.can u guide me what is the scope of my course and is valid for getting job opportunites in pvt or gov sectors.also rank my university...is it good university? pls help me....thank you.

Hi, a BCA is a entry level degree for the IT industry. It is considered at par with other bachelors degrees. After a BCA you can seek jobs as a programmer, web administrator, software developer, web developer, system trouble-shooter, call centre jobs, teaching faculty in IT institutes and the ITeS sector. However to make the most of this, it is best for you to pursue further education for better career prospects through an MCA, MBA, post graduate diploma in computer applications, course in graphics, multimedia, systems administration and networking courses from reputed private or Government computer institutes. Finding a job in a govt. sector would be least of a possibility as most of the govt. sectors look for regular mode graduates but that does not mean that one will not get a job due to a correspondence course.
To search for a job you may upload your resume on various job sites like Naukri.com etc and upload your resume on it based on which you can start getting revert based on the various vacancies available. Bharathiar University is a recognized and an approved University. Also other than just the job, you can plan to go for MCA as the future is very good post its completion.
