In this global slowdown which is the best trade in engg. that can give me easy placements? is civil a good option to have? And what is your opinion on srm coll.in chennai main campus. Is it a good coll.to take admission. in with civil trade. And after passing from there can i get a govt job?

Usually all options are good, but Civil goes down whenever there is a recession since new constructions go on a hold.

You can definitely opt for the SRM college but remember the placements always depend on one's own skills and ability to perform at the right time.
And yes you can go into govt. sector after doing Civil Engg., there are numerous opportunities therein.
