How should a student who is passionate about playing tabla go about making his career in this line

1 of my friend is interested in PLAYING TABLA. He is learning very well but wants to know what are the options available for earning income through Tabla immediate after graduation due to family responsibilities & it takes long time to get settle through Tabla as profession.

see if he goed with the degre or diploma in music like sangeet vishart and prabhkar he can be appointd as a music teacher in schools and colleges but it wil take time so cary on for this future plan and for ommediate salary some tabla vadaks r also appoints for sangati in goverment colleges and i
