MPhil is basically a pre Phd program which reduces the time frame of your phd if you continue on the same topic for Phd. Now if you are phd then you can apply for all lecturership, However through Mphil you have to clear NET for getting into lecturership. Mphil reseach nomally takes more then 1.5yea
