I recently went to MMK college
(Bandra {west}) for enquiry with regards to MBA...The faculty briefed me about CMTE ( Centre for management & Technical Education) and said that I need to go through an Interview process and if selected I may be eligible to apply for MBA from the CMTE (study centre @M

As the degree is offered from a state govt. university it is very much valid, and as i herd from students of CMTE they have good teaching staff and they have a strong placement cell so it is very much advisable.
