I got a call from software company & i said that i did my diploma in IS, they said we are sorry, currently we hire engineering people & then i said i would like to enter as a trainee. so they said to send my resume. please let me know what i can do next & how i can shine to get in if they cal me.

Dear Deepu, First of all, it will be more helpful to know the company details and from which source and/or how you got that call ?.. And surely if they have asked for your resume then you should be anyhow mailing it instantly. Also you should prepare yourself to expect an interview call from them

You can send your resume but I don't think that the placement would be to your satisfaction because the company has already clarified their policy and even if they absorb you as trainee they would try to do it on their terms, which might not go along the lines of their established norms.
