    Dear Syed,
It's good that you are having option to work with TCS but what almost 30% of TCS employees do after the finishing of their contract is : opting for higher studies.
But that would have been recommendable if you were interested in MBA as work experience is always good to have before going for MBA.
But as you are interested in M.Tech. program , if you are graduate in CS/IT stream then it's not advisable to drop a year for M.Tech as it's not assured either that you will certainly get admission into IITs after you drop one year. And so I advise you continuing your job with TCS.

Its good that you want to continue your education, but I would advise you not to fall for programs which have huge competition, and look for programs which are interesting and unique and which would help your career in a much better way. One of my friend is doing Robotics from UPES, it is one of the fastest growing field in and around India. I would advise you look for this program as it is from core sector. Therefore, it will help you get a better job with a good designation.

In my opinion go for mtech in a good college far better than working in a service based company TCS. In TCS you will hardly get a opportunity to apply your technical skill. And from my personal experience i can assure you that after 1 year of job in this type of company you feel that you've come down from an engineer to a clerk. As far as job experience is taken into consideration TCS experience is counted negetively in resume when you'll go for a technical organisations. So please go for higher studues or join a startup company.

None of the decision is wrong if you feel it is appropriate
If you are already working in TCS, to think progress in career, you are well settled than others but if your quest is for knowlegdge, then definitely you should try for M.Tech
