Clinical research is a specialized field that requires specific training to carry out various job functions. With the increasing number of clinical trials there is a projection of the requirement of trained manpower in big numbers. Although clinical research is becoming a lucrative career option for medical, pharmacy, dental and life-sciences students, an unmet need of basic clinical research training exists at the level of individual curriculum. Recent trends in clinical research industry are suggestive of employment preference to the personnel having a basic orientation and certification in clinical research.

It is not advised to pursue clinical research through the correspondence mode as this study requires a lot of practical knowledge and lab experiments which are not / least available in the correspondence mode, leading to lack of quality in education and career prospects.

You may visit International Education and Career Council website on www.iecc.org.in to check Clinical Research options. IECC has a tie up with HEI, USA for offering Clinical Research programs.
