Different Institutes have different eligibility criteria and as most of the good institutes conduct entrance examination as a selection procedure. Students of almost all streams are eligible to appear in it. There a few universities which give direct admissions as well. You can consider them as well

Its rare that a student who has done engineering switch to mass communication. But it's not impossible. Try a google search look for courses. Other alternatives are post graduation and business management.
