HI,am student of visual media and communication.and i would like to know whether there is any entrance examination to get into XIMC or is it merit based completly..?nd hw many year course is advertising and marketting?

Yes their is an entrance xam for XIC mumbai, this year it was conducted in may and i guess that even next year it will be conducted in the same month. The entrance is very easy and you can easily make it to the interviews. The course duration is 1 yr to the best of my knowledge. Thanks.
