IGNOU is Indira Gandhi National Open University
IGNOU offers distance education as well as their own regular mode programmes.
NIIT is National Institute of Information Technology. NIIT is strictly a well run and reputed computer /IT training Institute with franchisees all over the country,. It conducts IT and Management programmes in association with some Universities in India on a self financing basis.

Ignou is full formed as " Indira Gandhi National Open University " . Offers distance education degree programs in arts, science, commerce, social sciences and information technology.
But as compared to full time courses its not that good. Moreover it also depend on an individual. and NIIT stands for National Institute of Information Technology, Founded in 1981.
