What is the procedure to make career in banking sector? What are the qualifications, background required and also the scope?

I\'m a 12th grade science student (with PCM and comp). But i wish to take up banking after school. Is this possible?? If so, do i have to take up some crash courses in commerce?? Or can i just start the banking course without a commerce background?? please help. Thank you.
