Preparation has no definite period to start from and this varies from one person to another depending on his/ her capabilities.However, its never too early to start preparing for the same. Civil Services has the following pattern:
Preliminary exam,
Main Exam,
Interview, and on the basis

If you really serious for civil services you should start your preparation from now and you should concentrate now only General studies portion in your spare time. In GS you should concentrate science & Tech, economics (current) & History. After completion your B-tech,you should choose your optiona

it is advantageous if u undergo ncc n u r a c certificate holder....try to undergo this training if ur col provides it....simultaneously u take the training for civil services...it al depends on ur caliber,knowledge n hard work.....train urself from nw onwards.....all the best:)

bqs u know as world going on comptition also increasing in education
