Would a distance learning course in creative writing from Symbiosis help a person who has experience in teaching

I am a 42 year old Post-Graduate in English Lit. amd also have a PGD in Advanced System Management . I have sporadic experiences in teaching too. Now, I would like to do a Symbiosis Distance Learning course in Creative Writing . Can someone tell me if this would anyway help me in the teaching prof.?
